Instrumental power rock band, Earthless, are kicking off their first ever Australian tour, bringing to our shores an unmistakable 60s and 70s inspired psychedelic rock sound.
Announced as part of the mammoth Espy NYE line-up alongside a host of Aussie greats including You Am I and Airbourne, the San Diego boys will back up this tour debut in true rock’n’roll form, with a set at The Tote later that night.
The stoner rock trio, featuring ex- pro skater Mario Rubalcaba on drums, will be supported by local legends Tumbleweed and The Hard-Ons throughout their January tour.
Drawing comparisons to the likes of Blue Cheer, Jimi Hendrix, MC5, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath, it’s safe to say Earthless have been taking serious notes from the masters of reality and graduated with a degree in ass whipping rock. There are very few other bands in the modern age that can lay claims to such authenticity, Dead Meadow and Comets on Fire are two that come to mind.
